I'm only 15 years old & I've had to deal with my anger for a long time but it seems to be escalating. I get so angry that I get sick to my stomach & throw up sometimes. I shake & get light headed & I've even blacked out before. I have to go to the guidance office at school almost every day to calm down, but that only helps me for a little while. Also, I've noticed that lately I've been getting angry at insignificant things. Does it seem like I have "anger issues" & if so, what can I do to control them?

I have a bad time with my anger. I get furious at the smallest things and have hurled objects at the wall and have chipped the paint and broken the items. In the last 24 hours I have thrown a stapler, a hair brush, a glue stick, a pair of scissors, and a law dictionary at the wall. The stapler and the scissors chipped the paint, the law dictionary left a long scuff mark on the wall, the glue stick left a mess, and the hairbrush broke into 2 pieces. Also in the past I have gotten mad over insignificant things, on one occasion I had a can of Endust in my hand and threw it at the ground, but it hit my sister in the head and she was in pain for a long time. I never intend to hurt people when I get angry, but I do and I'm worried one day that I'll hurt someone really bad, physically and emotionally. I need help, are the medicinces or ANYTHING that can help. My parents are at their wit's ends. I NEED HELP.

I get angry a lot but mainly when I feel misunderstood or not listened to. I didn't realize I had an anger problem until I got in serious relationship. I've always been a fun goofy person but I've changed and can't seem to change back. I don't yell I lower my voice my face expressions have been described as devilish and I begin to feel my hands and feet tingle or go numb. My anger scares me at times I visualize actions but I sit extremely still or walk without a destination. I know I need help bit dont know where to start.

I am glad that you have information on how to find Anger Management counseling in Omaha, NE. A community center is a great place to look for a six or twelve class session if it's necessary for legal purposes. If you need further help in anger management, it is best to go to an established counseling professional.

Hello
Very useful information! Two things I would like to comment. First of all – surveys have shown that deep breathing is probably one of the most efficient and easiest things an angry person can do to calm down. It really is worth to try.
And secondly I would like to say that talking about it later is a good thing to do. This way it is possible to prevent negative situations in the future.
Best Regards

i always direct anger at my mum and make her feel guilty, wronged or whatever (doesnt matter how she feels. she;s unimportant)... she treated me with anger from young so all these issues are brought to my adulthood and i feel that i have the right to belittle, mock and insult her a means of repayment. how can i deal with these issues (provided my mum does not get anything good out of it)?

I never get angry as I understand that ANGER is the result of NOT FINDING SOLUTION TO ANY PROBLEM, U Get frustration if things donot go as U want . The reality is that things shall not move in the DIRECTION in which you want them to move..Take an example of CRICKET- the bats man hits the ball but it may not go in the direction in which he intended it.
We can only try but we shall not be successful in all our trials. EVEN THE TOP SUCCESSFUL people have been a FAILURE at one time or the other.
It is said that MAN PURPOSES AND GOD DISPOSES.

I have one comment to offer regarding the anger quiz. The word "venting" can be misunderstood, as venting can also be talking about your anger in a healthy fashion to another person, and not necessarily a physical act to vent.
